Ibrahim Celikkol has been very busy these days what with enjoying his beautiful family, filming an epic movie, starring in an ongoing dizzi AND filming a series for Netflix. Here’s a little Ibo to make you smile.
Ibrahim Celikkol and his co-star in the popular TV series Bir Zamanlar Cukurova, Hilal Altinbek did a photoshoot for a magazine recently. The series is in its fourth season and still going strong. Ibo has taken the lead role named Hakan Gümüsoglu, replacing Demir (Murat Ünalmış) as Zuleyha’s (Hilal Altinbek) love interest. Here’s the video of the shoot. The pictures will follow shortly.
After a year long wait, it looks like Ibo’s movie, Mast i Ask, about the life of Maulana Rumi (the poet) will be released in March of 2022. The movie is a joint venture between Turkish and Iranian production companies and features actors from both countries. After significant logistical and financial challenges it looks like the movie will be released and the Turkish actors will go to the premiere of it in Iran. From the looks of trailer which was released a couple weeks ago, the movie is going to be epic! Ibrahim plays the role of Iskander, a soldier and he’s joined by famous Turkish names like Hande Ercel and Halit Ergenc just to name a few. Check out the trailer and you’ll see.
But that’s not all! Ibo also did a series for Netflix which is expected to be released in the February time frame. He did this series with his old co-star from Siyah Beyaz Ask, Birce Alkalay. The 8 episode series As the Crow Flies (Kus Ucusu) is about the collision between generation X (who are still in positions of authority) and the new generation Z. The series was written by the popular writer Meriç Acemi, the creator of Aşk 101, a Netflix favorite. Can’t wait to see it when it airs on Netflix!
